Liberty Mutual Insurance: Student Diversity Symposium

I had the great opportunity to spend the day at the Student Diversity Symposium hosted by Liberty Mutual Insurance with passionate college students from all across North America. The event opened with Mayor Harry LaRosiliere (Plano) sharing his experience as the mayor of a rapidly growing city and giving us great leadership advice. His four lessons of leadership are:

Leaders listen and give feedback.

Leaders learn.

Leaders lead by example.

Leaders learn to let go, they need to have some degree of trust.

Furthermore, we got to meet some of the employees at Liberty Mutual and learned more about the importance of diversity within the company's culture and the modern day obstacles that the corporate world faces in attempt to achieve diversity and inclusion.
