ABOUT ME

I am an undergraduate student obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems set to graduate in 2020 from the University of Texas at Dallas. I have always been interested in technology and how it has had an impact on all types of businesses, to pursue my interests as a career, my goal is to become a business analyst. Furthermore, I am very passionate about empowering women in the STEM industry and to encourage girls to explore STEM options from a younger age.

Over the past two years at UT Dallas, I have led teams in case competitions such as the PWC Business Case Challenge, where I analyzed data to assess various contributing factors for company relocation. I was also selected to participate in the CoMIS (Competition of Management in Information) Case Challenge for 2 years in a row, where I worked on a Cybersecurity case regarding the use of biometrics on US bank’s mobile application.

Along with my coursework, I am currently interning at PepsiCo as a Strategy and Transformation consultant and I have interned this past summer at Essilor of America as a Project Coordinator. During my time at the company, I had to adapt to new software that I was unaware of such as JIRA, an agile project management tool, to notify team members of unresolved issues, and shadowed on several IT projects. Furthermore, I worked alongside the finance team to analyze 2019 budget reports for various service lanes and generated new reports for 2020 by evaluating the general trend and variance.

Through my leadership positions as the current President of Women in Technology and Business organization, the Student Assistant for the Director of the ITS program, and as a former trainer at Starbucks, I understand the importance of productive teamwork, memorable customer service, efficient verbal communication, and project leadership.

Outside my focus on school and my career, I enjoy volunteering my time at several events such as the Girls STEM symposium, the ITS Summer Exploration Camps, Hackathons and hosts live podcasts in partnership with other student organizations on campus.
